Children can undertake hypnotherapy treatments from the age of 6 years. All children, and teenagers below the age of 16, must be seen in the first instance (initial Consultation) with a parent or legal guardian.

A phobia is a very simple, debilitating and life-limiting fear of a thing; an object; a place; a situation; a feeling or; an animal.

Phobias can be as simple as the fear of spiders; snakes; birds; heights; wasps; bees; needles; hospitals; dentists; flying on a plane; driving a car; examinations; etc.

Phobias are very much more pronounced than a simple fear or unease of a situation. A phobia will develop and embed itself as a life limiting condition when the person develops an exaggerated and unrealistic sense of danger about a relatively innocuous situation or object/thing. If the phobia becomes so severe then it may cause a person to organise their life around the avoidance of the situation or thing that is causing them an anxiety.

As well as restricting their own day-to-day life, it can also cause a lot of distress to others (spouse and family) and limit their life choices too.

Happily, phobias are very easy to treat through the intervention of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. PTSD

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder which initially is initiated through a very stressful, disturbing and distressing event in one’s life

Someone with PTSD will often relive those initiating, stressful events through nightmares, flashbacks and panic attacks, and as such will result in experiencing feelings of isolation, irritability and guilt. The sufferer may show and exhibit outward projections of extreme anxiety, fear, verbal and physical aggression. They will also experience sleep disorders and concentration issues. These symptoms and behaviour outbursts are often so severe, and persist enough, so as to have a significant effect upon the person’s day-to-day life. The resulting behavioural issues and conditions also have life limiting effects upon the sufferer’s family and friends. PTSD is a significant illness.

Causes of PTSD can be simple or complex and disturbing. PTSD can result from being involved in a road accident; witnessing upsetting situations and events; violent personal assaults; traumatic birth; serving armed forces personnel returning from active service within a war zone; etc.

More complex forms of PTSD can arise from severe traumas involving severe neglect; physical abuse; parental violence and; sexual abuse within the family home. Severe trauma within the family home, committed against a minor in early life can bring on the effects of PTSD later in life.

PTSD can develop immediately after experiencing trauma. It can, however, takes weeks, months and even years to develop, post traumatic event! It is estimated that about 1 in 3 people who have experienced a traumatic event, will develop PTSD at varying levels of seriousness.

The good news is that PTSD is curable. Using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy we can help to disassociate you from your PTSD. PTSD outwardly projects through conditions and issues such as sleep disorders, anxiety and stress (anger outbursts). PTSD can be cured, or at least managed, through treating those disorders, and by correcting these various imbalances within the mind and body. We cannot make the ‘historic’ events a non-reality, but through hypnosis we can lessen their powers and control over you and your life.

Stopping smoking sessions will last approximately 2 hours. This includes an initial consultation.

You will also be given beforehand, hand-outs to read and a cd / mp4 recording to listen to. This is a powerful and effective therapy for those people motivated to give up smoking.

Smoking can be difficult to give up on your own, but with the help of hypnotherapy the process is simple and quick.

Hypnotherapy works by changing your minds dependency on cigarettes at a subconscious level. The trance therapy allows this change to be accepted without resistance or distortion.
